The excerpt focused on the Church shows the back of the over-sized front (east) facade, the central steeple, and the brick lean-to at the rear of the Church. The excerpt focused on the School House shows the ornate cupola on the center ridge of the roof, the dry-stacked stone retaining walls, and a privy (with an angled roof) at the rear of the property. The Winchester and Potomac railroad tracks are in the background.
